I think it’s safe to say that brighter, warmer weather is right around the corner…for which I am eternally grateful. I’m looking forward to more food truck events, farmers markets and patio dining. Spring is one of the greatest times to be a foodie in these parts…last year I could hardly keep up with all the events going on around town.
Now it’s time for everyone’s favorite time of the week — Food Feedback Friday. That portion of our program that allows you all to comment on what you’re eating around town — what you like and what you don’t.
Last week, here’s what you had to say…
Karin ate at the Terrace, writing, “I had the redfish special, cooked beautifully with a side of pesto pasta and crisp tender veggies.” Steve had some mixed words for Natchez, “The braised short rib/gnocchi dish is one of the top 10 dishes I’ve eaten in the city. Sadly, the presentation was seriously an issue, as the dish looked pretty awful. But the outstanding flavor had me shutting my eyes throughout the course.” E.W. Swan was able to make it over to Soup Sunday and was most pleased with South on Main, writing, “My hands-down favorite was the butternut squash with fried Brussels sprouts courtesy of South on Main — creamy and balanced and bursting with the earthy sweetness of the squash.” Dana made it up to Fayetteville and has this to report: “I did make it up to Fayetteville and had an AMAZING brunch at Arsagas at the Depot. I wish that had been there when I was in college. Best tofu scramble and vegan sausages that didn’t come from my kitchen.”
There was plenty more to hear about, but now it’s your turn to tell us where to eat.
