A long-rumored deal has been firmed up: Simmons First National Corporation of Pine Bluff has bought Delta Trust and Banking of Little Rock. Sterne Agee, which acted as financial adviser to Simmons, sent this announcement:

The sale presumably should free up Delta Trust CEO French HIll for full-time pursuit of the Republican nomination for 2nd District Congress.
