Authorities are looking for Terrell Holloway, 9, who hasn’t been seen since 5:40 p.m. Monday. Initial police reports said the case was considered a runaway, not foul play. But after a cold night he has still not been located. Police said he came home, took off a jacket and ran away from 1918 Spring Street. He was wearing khaki pants, a red shirt, red jacket, red-and-white shoes and a red cap with the word Chicago. The State Police have issued an alert for the child.
The LRPD used search dogs this morning, but so far haven’t found the boy.
UPDATE: The boy was found about 3 p.m. this afternoon. Police said he was “safe” and being taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for a medical check. He apparently was hiding near his house most of the time and was found close by, along Broadway.Employees at a law firm in the 1900 block of Broadway heard him knocking outside. Police said he seemed to suffer no ill effects, but were taking the precaution of a medical check and intended to ask him how he spent the night.
