* WRONG AND WRONGER: The measure is dead on arrival but a Kansas Republican filed a proposed U.S. constitutional amendment today to ban same-sex marriage. I don’t for a minute count the battle for equality won — maybe not even in my lifetime — but if you want a look now at today’s Lester Maddoxes, take a look at Huffington Post’s list of the 28 sponsors. Somewhat surprisingly, no Arkansas congressman answered the call to homophobia. That’s a little progress, at least.
