Brisk breezes and not much to report, except:

* ABOUT LAST NIGHT: An auto complete function (I think) explained a strange headline on last night’s open line, which I’ve now corrected to remove the mystifying words that prompted several comments from readers. Sorry.

* LEGISLATIVE PLATE IN ACCIDENT REPORT: I mentioned hearing Friday of a reported hit-and-run involving a car with a legislative tag. Jason Tolbert picked up the report, which notes a tag number that correlates with one issued to new Rep. Mike Holcomb of Pine Bluff. The complainant’s husband, who reported the accident to me, says the police report has the location wrong, it was actually at University and Markham. He had told me earlier:

It wasn’t bad. Minor damage. No one hurt but Nicole said this lady was in a big hurry and honking. It was the two-lane turn there at the intersection and they were going south turning onto Markham. The lady hit the median and then hit Nicole apparently. Her sister was in the car with her and they could see it coming. … Nicole wonders if the lady even knew she hit her. Like I said, it wasn’t huge but she was incredulous that Corvette Lady kept going.
