It’s time again for us to pick our annual Arkansan of the Year. Unlike last year, when Alice Walton was a pretty clear cut choice (yes, she lives in Texas, but she’s a native whose vision and billions made Bentonville an art mecca), no one figure stands out in my mind. But maybe I’m overlooking the obvious.

As you can see from those we’ve celebrated in the past, we’re not afraid of picking something general (Mr. and Mrs. Rural Arkansas, Republicans) if it fits.
