Channel 4 reports five more arrests, these in state court, in a Crittenden County election fraud case. The five are charged with possession of more than 10 absentee ballots with intent to defraud. This is a continuation of the federal/state investigation that led to guilty pleas earlier in federal court and the resignation of state Rep. Hudson Hallum, whose forces paid for absentee votes in his narrow special election Democratic primary victory last year.

IN OTHER POLITICAL/CRIMINAL NEWS TODAY: Channel 4 also reports a mistrial in the case of Gould Mayor Ernest Sanders in a forgery and obstruction of justice case he said amounted to a political vendetta by city political foes.
