The folks from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are over on Broadway across from Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, protesting the use of elephants as entertainment by Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus — which is at Verizon this week to present their “Zing, Zang, Zoom” show, which blends circus acts and magic. The protestors have an inflatable pachyderm, signs, and a lot more gumption than the writer, being that they’re willing to stand on a sidewalk in 100-plus degree heat for a cause.
