Little Rock’s Animal Services Department is anticipating so much interest in adopting the 70-odd dogs and cats found abandoned in the broken-down U-Haul last week that they’ll using a random number distribution system at a special adoption event Saturday morning to keep people from lining up outside the Animal Village Friday night. They’ll begin passing out numbers at 9 a.m., but no lines will be allowed before 8:30 a.m., according to a news release from the city. Doors open at 10 a.m. The Animal Village is at 4500 Kramer St., just south of Asher and University.
