Followers of the Hog soap opera know Teresa Prewett as a Hog fan, friend of coach Houston Nutt and author of a put-down e-mail to Hog quarterback Mitch Mustain, who’s departed Fayetteville for Southern California. This was the e-mail Nutt’s wife forwarded around with glee. Nutt claims he didn’t know about it until long after the fact. (Undoubtedly being too busy text-messaging that woman in Fort Smith about raising money for charity.)

Prewett has given an interview to her hometown paper in Booneville. Unfortunately, only a portion is available on the link. Not on the link is the likes of this:

“She also rejects the notion the language and tone was too strong for man of Mustain’s age.

“‘I do regret (sending the email) but I don’t want to hear he was an 18-year-old,'” said Prewett. “‘We’ve got 18-year-olds in Iraq who would rather be playing college football than (be) holding a gun and people shooting at them.'”

And…

“Prewett was also ordered by Houston Nutt on Jan. 12 to write Mustain an apology letter. She had already done so on Jan. 8.

“‘There are only so many times I can apologize,” she said.
